Externally, the G15 5520 is simple but also elegant. The plastic material used also reduces the weight of the laptop: the G15 5520 weighs just 2.81 kilograms. The compact housing ensures even more comfort. So you can carry the laptop in a backpack or in a shoulder bag without any problems.

The 15.4-inch display has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels – a high resolution for the size of the screen. This means that the laptop displays games pin-sharp. You can also play fast shooters such as “Valorant”, “Overwatch 2” and “CS:GO” on the display without any problems – thanks to the high refresh rate of 165 Hertz.

The G15 5520’s Full HD display requires significantly less power to display games than a huge ultrawide WQHD monitor. That’s why you don’t need a flagship graphics card for gaming with maximum details, for example. This enables the good price-performance ratio of the Dell laptop.

What’s under the hood of the Dell G15 5520?

The design and display provide ideal conditions for gaming – but what does the inside of the G15 5520 look like? The first thing that catches the eye is the powerful i7 processor of the latest generation (i7-12700H). Its 14 cores and 20 threads calculate with a base clock of 3.5 gigahertz.

Although the built-in NVIDIA card is one of the smaller ones, it ensures decent performance together with the i7 and the 16 GB of RAM. With it, you can maneuver your way smoothly through “Deathloop” and “Back 4 Blood” or achieve personal best times in “F1 22” without any problems – and that with maximum details in Full HD resolution.

You can also enjoy ray tracing in selected games with the NVIDIA graphics card and get access to NVIDIA DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling). This technology ideally balances power and performance for an optimal gaming experience.

Stay cool with Dell’s cooling system

Dell paid special attention to the cooling of the gaming laptop. To achieve this, Dell installs a dual air supply, ultra-thin fan blades and copper lines. The four ventilation openings are also located at exactly the right points in the case.
