Modern Warfare 2 players on TikTok have figured out a way to mimic the “wallrun” feature from the jetpack era of Call of Duty.

MW2 has been dubbed the killer of Call of Duty’s so-called “motion era,” but it turns out there are still a few tricks up the new title’s sleeve, though they may not be intentional.

Some players have found that there are spots around the game’s already controversial maps where they can get the upper hand on their enemies by hitting them with a surprise wallrun that absolutely disorients them.

So far, this has only been reported to work on one particular wall, as seen below.

With the correct launch angle, players can stick to walls while running, completely altering where an opponent would expect them to be in a firefight.

It can also produce some weird looking effects, as seen at the end of the video, where a player rises up the screen from an unexpected address.

This is certainly not a planned feature, but at the moment there is nothing stopping people from taking advantage of it.

However, since Infinity Ward really cracked down on techniques like Slide Cancel (which allowed players to reset their Tactical Sprint ability), this one isn’t likely to stick around for long.

There have already been a number of fixes promised or already implemented, and although this is not on the list yet, the developers will surely be on the list of things that need to be updated.
