New SciFi fodder soon in Steam Early Access – This is Starcom: Unknown Space
Who wouldn’t want to build their own spaceship and explore space? That’s exactly what’s possible in the action-RPG Starcom: Unknown Space, which is about to launch into Steam Early Access.
Science fiction and video games – they just go together. No other medium has the ability to simulate entire galaxies. From huge projects like Star Citizen to small indie titles, the market has it all. Starcom: Unknown Space is definitely one of the latter and offers a huge area to explore instead of an impressive look. First of all, however, adventurers have to tinker their own spaceship, with which it then takes off into the wide universe.
This is how Starcom: Unknown Space plays
In Starcom: Unknown Space, players can move freely in an open world with their spaceship. There are unexplored worlds, dark secrets and various alien races to discover. These can be friendly or hostile towards the player. How the clashes proceed also depends on the diplomatic skills, because there are dialogue options with which the story can be influenced. If consensus cannot be reached, a good old-fashioned space battle ensues.

How the company is designed is also in the hands of the player, because Starcom: Unknown Space is a role-playing game. As a commander, you are free to expand your own ship into an expedition vehicle, a fast attack ship, or an armored battle cruiser. By exploring planets, resources can be gathered and new technologies unlocked. Each upgrade takes the crew a step closer to solving the mysterious mysteries of the universe. The predecessor, Starcom: Nexusis already a hit on Steam, and Unknown Space is said to be refining the concept when it launches Early Access soon.
