How do we come up with our assessment? Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 hasn’t been out long and players will need to work their way through the new weapons and see which ones can actually prove themselves on the battlefield.

To save you the time of trying things out, we ventured into various matches, had to die many deaths and thus came across our findings.

In addition, we celebrate our selection with our years of CoD expertise and, on top of that, look at the trends of the players. In addition, however, we also look at the playability of the weapons and whether they can also be easily wielded.

Meta in CoD: MW2 – The best weapons for multiplayer

Is there currently an over weapon in MW2? SP-R 208 is currently regarded as the ultimate all-rounder weapon. It is used by many players not only as a DMR, but also as a sniper, pistol and shotgun.

What are the best MW2 weapons? Low recoil assault rifles are still the best choice of soldiers in Modern Warfare 2 as well.

What defines these weapons? Assault rifles are designed to help you get kills easily over long distances. However, good specimens also ensure a lot of kills in close combat because they have the right balance of movement and damage.

What makes the M4 strong? The M4 can not only score with solid values. You will even receive the rifle as the first assault rifle for your collection. In addition, it has a high rate of fire, coupled with a stable vertical recoil, which you can even support with attachments.

This combination of high rate of fire, easy accessibility and stable recoil therefore makes the M4 the top choice for most soldiers.

Alternative to the M4: If you want to use another solid assault rifle, go with the Kastov 762. The rifle has worse stats at first glance, but it can deal more damage and has a well-controlled recoil.

With the right attachments, the Russian rifle can score even better on the battlefield, but requires a little more finesse with recoil control.

What defines these weapons? Submachine guns, also called MPs for short, should help you at short and medium ranges to quickly send opponents to their graves. Especially in heated fights, the fast rate of fire should help you to pierce your enemy with lead faster.

What makes the FSS Hurricane strong? The FSS Hurricane is by far one of the best SMGs in the game. Not only does it have outstanding marksmanship, but it is also very effective in long-range combat. Whoever plays the Hurricane for the first time will notice that you are not holding an SMG, but rather a hybrid between an assault rifle and a submachine gun.

This mixture means that you can even emerge victorious in some duels against an assault rifle. So if you haven’t tested the FSS yet, now would be the right time.

Alternative to the FSS Hurricane: As an alternative, we recommend the PDSW 528 for heated close combat or the Lachmann-MP for accurate piercing at a distance.

What defines these weapons? DMRs are hybrids and a mix of snipers and single-shot rifles. Above all, their accuracy and their high damage are well-known characteristics of the DMRs.

What makes the SP-R 208 strong? Since the release of multiplayer, the SP-R 208 has emerged as an all-rounder on the battlefield. Players can not only dominate all distances with this weapon, but also easily perform quick scopes or even kills from the hip.

The rifle proves itself to be a true customization king with its versatility and ensures that every soldier or mercenary among you will be happy. The disadvantage is the lame rate of fire – if your bullet misses, the enemy assault rifle usually takes care of you in no time at all.

Alternative to the SP-R 208: As an alternative, we offer you the SA-B 50. It has poorer recoil control, but can still keep up with the right attachments.

You can convert the sniper for ground fighting and long distances. If you’re more interested in quick scopes, then hit our attachments on your rifle and you’ll have massive destructive power in your hands that’s easy to wield.

Alternative to the SP-R 208: For quick scopes we recommend the SP-X 80, but if you are looking for a gun for camping then the Signal 50 is the way to go.

CoD MW2: The Best Rocket Launcher – PILA

What defines these weapons? Rocket Launchers are explosive killing machines for vehicles and enemies. Used correctly, you can flatten vehicles or greet your opponents with them.

What makes PILA strong? The PILA is your first rocket launcher, which you can unlock through the Weaponsmith. With the launcher, you can not only manually target and trigger enemies, but also target-controlled vehicles to blow up.

This makes the PILA a top choice, especially in the fight against annoying drones, as you can immediately pack it in your own equipment.

Alternative to PILA: If you need more penetrating power against vehicles, we recommend the Strela-P. If you prefer a launcher for manual combat against enemies, you’d better take the RPG-7 with you.
