AMD graphics cards: Radeon RX 7900 XT and 7900 XTX announced
AMD announced the first graphics cards with the new RDNA3 architecture on Thursday evening. As also reported the PC Games Hardwareit is about the Radeon RX 7900 XT and the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, to be released in December. Of course, AMD also wants to use the two graphics cards to counter Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4090 and the upcoming RTX 4080. But what distinguishes the two Radeon innovations from each other? The AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT works with a slightly slimmed down new Navi 31 GPU based on RDNA3 and has 20GB GDDR6 RAM. The AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX, on the other hand, uses the full configuration of Navi 31 and offers 24GB GDDR6 RAM. The following table shows the differences in an overview:

AMD wants to achieve a performance increase of 54 percent per watt with RDNA3, and the ray tracing performance is said to have been greatly improved. According to AMD, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX is up to 1.7 times faster than a RX 6950 XT when it comes to 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels). From December 13, both AMD graphics cards should be available in stores. We are curious to see what Nvidia will throw into the race with the new GeForce RTX 4080 and how strong AMD’s counterattack will ultimately be, which should primarily depend on the price-performance ratio.
