Peridot is still alive! Update on removed features and new content

Niantic: You got so far - but in the end it doesn't even matter (1)

from Susan Brown
In the past few weeks, fans of the AR game Peridot, designed by Niantic itself, have often been asked the question: does the game actually still exist? yes there is And the global launch continues. However, the beta in Singapore, Malaysia and Norway raised a few questions about certain features, some of which are now being kicked out of the game.

It’s been quiet for a while now about Niantic’s new Own production peridot, which you can use to raise and breed colorful pets on your phone. The news of the start of the beta in Norway in July 2022 gave hope that something would soon happen for the excited peridot fans in our country, but dandy. In general, the developers have kept their feet still, but now they are back and talking about feature deletions and new content.

Because the beta in the three countries has shown that there are some things about Peridot that the players care little to not at all. Maybe it’s a good thing if the Niantics take a little more time with a worldwide release of Peridot. Below is a small overview of what is currently being done on the AR pet simulation.

Nests and wind chimes are removed, dailys and weeklys are added

In version 0.25 of Peridot, beta players will have to do without nests and wind chimes, as most players don’t use the nest system in particular. These are probably the consumables that you can use to influence the appearance of your grown dots a little.

All sorts of clearer explanations related to the breeding of the Dots are also added to Peridot – and at the same time a new breeding system comes into play that includes more and different traits and rarities. It also plays into the fact that rewards are added for the progress of your keeper, i.e. your avatar, which include rarer dot characteristics, among other things. And then there will be a bunch more Dailys and Weeklys, so you have even more opportunities to bond with your Dot. For most of us that sounds a bit vague, of course, since we don’t have official access to the Peridot beta.
