Final Fantasy 16 gets New Game Plus and makes it really difficult for you

You can also fight your way through the most difficult grade with the hitherto quite mysterious Benedikta Harman.

Final Fantasy 16 is still several months away, but the game’s producer, Hiroshi Takai, has already revealed in an interview that the latest part of the JRPG will include a New Game Plus mode. However, it also presents you with new challenges.

Stronger opponents make your life difficult

According to Takai, the mode, which is often only delivered with a patch, was there right from the start. In an interview for the Japanese website 4gamers the producer has confirmed that you can start with the NG+ mode directly after your first run. All learned skills, as well as all your weapons and their abilities, remain completely intact.

You will also need them badly, because the opponents should become significantly stronger in said mode and put your skills on the blade to the test. Takai has not yet revealed exactly what that will look like and whether you will receive additional rewards, for example in the form of new weapons.

Hard mode also on the first playthrough

If you are looking for the ultimate challenge, you can increase the level of difficulty on the first run, because a hard mode should also be selectable directly in the game. Hiroshi Takai hasn’t commented on this either, so wait and see and to be on the safe side, raise the frustration limit a little.
