According to the latest rumors, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will get a premium expansion in 2023.

Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier has announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will receive a premium expansion next year, once again confirming that there will be no standalone Call of Duty game in 2023.

Instead, Sledgehammer Games is said to be working on a single-player expansion to continue the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II campaign. The extension should be extremely extensive, which is why Activision also speaks of a “full independent release”.

The Activision Blizzard financial report already announced that a Call of Duty “Premium Release” was officially planned for 2023.
