Indiana Jones: Streaming series planned for Disney + – News

Disney is currently developing a TV series based around the famous archaeologist Indiana Jones employed at her in-house streaming service Disney+ should go to the start.

However, the project is still in the planning stages as Disney is said to have raised the issue at a general meeting with screenwriters. Since no author or team of authors has yet been found for the realization, we do not yet know whether the series will be a prequel or spinoff to the well-known cinema film series. Should it come to an implementation, this would not be the first series about Indiana Jones. The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones shed light on the aspiring archaeologist’s youth in the early 1990s. However, she could not follow the success of the cinema films and was therefore discontinued.

In addition, Disney is currently examining several options for developing the Indiana Jones franchise further, since Indiana Jones 5 will be the last feature film Harrison Ford will be starring. In addition to the envisaged series, there could also be a further development of the cinema films afterwards. A combination of these, similar to the MCU, or the integration of other media, such as the development of new computer and video games are also possible here.
