Pokémon: After Crimson and Crimson, 9 type combinations are probably still unused

Wild Pokémon type combinations have always existed in Pokémon games, but some are still missing.

Many Pokémon have one type, but some are a combo of two. For example, Poison can be combined with Bug, or Charizard is a fire-flying Pokémon. All in all, there are now a great many of these different types and, of course, a correspondingly large number of combinations. But some mixed forms have not yet been used. If the leaks are correct, that will change to Pokémon Crimson and Crimson with seven new type combinations, but nine remain unused.

These seven new type combinations could bring Pokémon Crimson and Crimson

According to leaks, here’s what’s coming: It won’t be long now until Pokémon Crimson and Crimson appear (only one week left!). In the run-up, countless leaks may have already revealed which new type combinations await us in the next Pokémon part. From the leaked Pokédex (via Centro Leaks) put together which type combos are new. It should be about this one:

• battle ground
• Battle Electro
• fairy fight
• normal poison
• Beetle Dark
• plant fire
• Steel Poison

But beware! It is currently not certain whether these type combinations will really all find their way into the game. We suspect that most of these leaks are true, but of course we can’t be sure.

We have already thought about possible combinations that are still missing. Among other things, the mixture of plant and fire always inevitably makes us think of the fire-breathing piranha plants from the Super Mario titles:

If the leakers are right and the combinations listed above really all show up in crimson and crimson, nine left:

• normal rock
• Normal Beetle
• normal steel
• regular ice cream
• fairy ground
• Fairy Fire
• Poison Ice Cream
• rock spirit
• Beetle Dragon

So if you’ve been desperately waiting for one of these type combinations for quite some time, you’ll probably have to wait a little longer. At least it looks like your dreams aren’t going to be fulfilled with Pokémon Crimson and Crimson.

What are fans hoping for? on Reddit Of course, many Pokémon trainers are already debating which mix they would like to see most. Favorites include the beetle/dragon and ice/fire combos. Some existing Pokemon such as Libelldra would have fit into these categories very well.
