Now it’s official: Then the new Avatar film will be released!

In June we reported that Avatar: The Last Airbender would return in the form of three animated films. Paramount Pictures has now announced an official release date for one of these films. This is how the new film is supposed to be October 10, 2025 to be published. Responsible for this undertaking are Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the two creative minds behind the three seasons, who were able to build up a loyal fan base on Nickelodeon at the time. For the film projects was with the Avatar Studios even founded his own studio. Not much is currently known about the three film projects. Although it is assumed from the outside that “Team Avatar” will be the focus of the film that will be released in 2025, the exact idea ends there.

In terms of staff, a little more is known about the animation strip. For example, Lauren Montgomery, a co-star of the original Avatar series, will direct the film. Eric Coleman will also serve as producer alongside DiMartino and Konietzko. The film is animated by Australian-European studio Flying Bark Productions.

Looking forward to the animated film

Many fans should certainly look forward to the three films in the Avatar universe. After all, “Avatar: The Last Airbender”, as the series is originally called, is one of the most popular Nickelodeon projects of the last 20 years. The story about the boy from the iceberg knew how to convince over three seasons with charming characters, interesting stories and a fascinating world. It followed with The Legend of Korra 2012 a sequel series, which can also look forward to a large fan base.
