PlayStation Store: These games are particularly popular right now

Each month, Sony announces the previous month’s hit downloads. Not all of the most popular titles should surprise you, but we want to present you the best of the list here. In the EU struck in October FIFA 23 any competition and became the leader in downloads on Playstation 5 and Playstation 4. To no one’s surprise, however Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 #1 in download rankings in North America. The download ranking list is published monthly by Sony and splits the number of downloads into both PS5 and PS5, as well as separately into EU downloads and USA and Canada charts. While FIFA 23 i.e. number one in our download hits, it “only” reached second or third place in the other rankings. Other titles that have earned a respectable rank include, among others Gotham Knights, which was the second most downloaded in the US and Canada. In the EU, the superhero game still came in third place, despite all the criticism that the Arkham successor is under. But there are also a few surprises in the ranking.

Not just new titles in the rankings

Despite being over ten years old, titles like Minecraft, Grand Theft Auto V and NBA 2K23 are still making significant waves. These are real perennial favorites in the Sony download rankings. But not only the old titles surprise in the North American charts; also older Call of Duty titles such as Black Ops 3, Black Ops Cold War and the 2019 reboot of Modern Warfare still achieve considerable download numbers on the PS4.

Both Free-to-Play Games Overwatch 2 holds the rank of winner, but the recent move to free-to-play of the Sims 4 base game also seems to be a pleasure for the players, because the title even reached number 2 in the EU charts and third place in the USA . Fortnite continues to hold its spot in the top 3; At least Fall Guys, Rocket League and Warzone made it into the top 5.
