This will be reimbursed: What you’ve purchased from the Google Stadia Store can be refunded. This applies to games and add-ons as well as Stadia hardware such as controllers or subscription fees (with the exception of Stadia Pro).

Refunds start now: The refund process for Google Stadia started on November 9th. Currently it says on the part Googlethat most of the refunds until January 18, 2023 should have gone on stage.

How it works: First of all, Google tries to process all refunds automatically. This means that ideally you don’t have to do anything and should get the money back for your Stadia purchases by January 18th. Google asks for patience and also not to contact support.

Google will try to transfer the money back to the payment method used at the time of purchase for automatic refunds. If this is not possible, the company will contact those affected by email to set up another option for the refund.

So you don’t have to do anything. First and foremost, all you have to do is wait until you get your money back. If this does not work automatically due to an expired payment method or something similar, you will receive an e-mail. If nothing happens by January 18th, you can follow up with the company.

What’s next? Even if Google Stadia no longer exists in this form, Google at least wants to continue using the underlying technology. It is intended to benefit platforms such as YouTube, Google Play and the augmented reality sector.

Are you one of those who get their money back? What were you hoping for from Google Stadia?
