WoW: Gold rewards at the command table will be drastically reduced
With the start of the second pre-patch phase, we will have to part with the command table as a profitable source of income. The missions still offer gold rewards, but these will soon be very manageable.
Ever since the Garrison Command Table was introduced in Warlords of Draenor, there have been vocal supporters and opponents of the system. A boring browser game within WoW mocked one side, a pleasant and relaxing change, the other side was happy. But no matter which group you end up counting yourself into, most of us have let off steam at the WoW command table – if only for the rewards.
Because even in the first version of WoD, our heroes were able to earn a lot of gold with their followers. In later expansions, the system was expanded and the earning potential was retained. Especially in Battle for Azeroth, there is a regular warm shower of gold when logging in. With WoW (buy now ): Shadowlands, the amount of gold was then greatly reduced. So it wasn’t that lucrative anymore, but there was still gold (almost) for free.
Gold missions are nerfed drastically
When the second part of the WoW: Dragonflight pre-patch goes online on Wednesday, November 16th, we will have to say goodbye to the command table as a source of income. While the gold missions still exist, the amount of gold has been greatly reduced.
For missions that previously got you around 300 to 400 gold per mission, you now only have around 20 to 30 gold coins left. Of course, that’s still better than the few anima that a mission costs. But will anyone do the work of logging in for the few gold coins and flying into their pact sanctum? Especially since the missions are still canceled when we change the pact. And since patch 9.2, that’s not exactly uncommon.
Have you used the command table in WoW: Shadowlands extensively to earn some gold on the side? Or was the return for the effort already too low for you and you left the table and its missions anyway? Incidentally, there will be no new command table in WoW: Dragonflight, as Ion Hazzikostas confirmed in an interview.
