FIFA 23: Franck Ribery gets a new special card at the end of his career - is it worth it?

In FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, Franck Ribery has now received one last special card. But is it worth investing in the expensive card?

Wwhat kind of card is that? At the end of his career, which Franck Ribery (39) has now declared over, the Frenchman in FUT 23 receives one last, so-called “End of an Era” card. This has greatly upgraded stats over its standard card and is only available for a short period of time.

Ribery’s new EOAE map in detail

If you look at the new card, you will notice that it has an uncharacteristically weak overall rating. At least when you compare them to other EOAE maps from the last few years. For example, last year there was a strong 95 card for Lacazette, which had absolute dream values to offer.

It is also curious that Ribery has already received another 90 card this year. A Rulebreakers card currently available for a similar price.

The card can: Even though Ribery’s new card doesn’t have a TOTY level, it’s still a really strong option for many teams. The former Bayern player is very fast and can convince with strong shot values. He also has outstanding dribbling values and can bring the ball precisely to his teammates with very good passing values.

But aside from the strong stats, the best thing about the map might be its combination of 5-star skill moves and 5-star weak foot. With this rare combination, you can first dribble out your opponents and then aim the ball at goal, no matter which foot you use.

Only the positions are a bit disappointing. EOAE-Ribery can only be placed in left midfield and on the left wing.

The difference to the Rulebreakers card: For many players who are interested in the new Ribery map, the question may arise as to what the difference is to the Rulebreakers map. And there are a few subtleties that make the new card a little better.

  • EOAE Ribery is slightly slower and has slightly worse shot values than Rulebreakers Ribery.
  • However, the new special card has significantly better passing values and slightly better physique.
  • However, the biggest advantage of EOAE-Ribery is the working rates. These are “High/Medium” instead of “Medium/Low”, which means that he has significantly better running paths and moves better on the pitch.
  • Rulebreakers Ribery can be used as ST and ZOM. EOAE Ribery as LF and LM.
Left Rulebreakers, right End of an Era.

How much does the card cost? You have to complete various SBC tasks worth around 480,000 coins. If you still have SBC fodder in the club, you can use it to lower the price a bit. You have until November 29th at 7:00 p.m., then the card will disappear again.

So is the card worth it? If you are a Ribery fan, have the wherewithal and SBC fodder, then the Ribery card can definitely be worth it. It is not cheap at all, but it can currently play at the highest level and is expected to provide many goals, tricks and assists.

However, you should keep in mind that in a few months, whenever events appear in FUT, many cards will reach a similar level. So EOAE Ribery is probably not a card that can keep up to the end of FUT.

What do you think of the last Ribery special card? Will you complete the SBC and get the map? Feel free to tell us in the comments!
