Gyro aiming in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2? Feature is introduced quietly

The so-called gyro aiming is getting more and more chances in gaming. Treyarch also seems to be opening up to this type of control and is secretly introducing it into Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

Aim by moving

Splatoon and ortnite have already used it successfully: Gyro-Aiming. But what exactly is that anyway? With this type of control, a real movement is implemented in the virtual game world. If you move your hand to the right, the character or the camera will move in the same direction.

So you no longer move the stick, but tilt the controller in the desired direction – a bit like children or gaming newbies like to do and are smiled at nostalgically and lovingly by their older siblings.

The last update for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 introduced gyro aiming. To use it, you have to activate the function in the options and can then do a little fine tuning. So it is possible to adjust the sensitivity and decide in which situations gyro aiming should be used.

It is important that the aim assist is deactivated as soon as you switch on the gyros aiming. That’s because aiming by movement allows you more precision in itself.

Of course you need a controller that supports this function. For example DualShock 4 or the DualSense controller of the PlayStation 5.
