WoW: Players spend hours designing the new Dracthyr, these are their results
In WoW (World of Warcraft), the new Callers of the Dracthyr are now playable. A combination of new class and race. What makes Callers so special that players are now spending hours in the character editor?
That is new: On November 16th, the second phase of the WoW Dragonflight pre-patch started. That’s the big expansion that’s due out later this year. Anyone who has pre-ordered Dragonflight can now enjoy playing the new class.
But many players haven’t gotten that far with gaming. Because before that they pumped hours into the appearance of the callers. We show you the results.
What makes the Dracthyr so special?
This is important: Dragons are an integral part of WoW history. You meet them again and again in the game. Partly as smaller enemies in certain areas, partly as huge, story-driven characters in the form of bosses and NPCs.
Players have long wished they could delve deeper into WoW’s history and take control of dragons as their own playable characters. With Dragonflight this is finally possible. Blizzard gives its customers the opportunity to create their own characters of the new dragon race, Dracthyr, and to adapt them visually down to the smallest detail.
There’s so much to do: Now, when you create a Dracthyr, you can customize their dragon form and human form. Over 40 individual options from the design of the ears and horns to patterns, jewellery, necklaces and underwear (in the case of the humanoid shape) are available to you. With so many customization options, few dragons look the same.
Here we show you some results from us and from the community. HighHrothgal tweeted, “I’ve spent about 2 hours in character creator and I’m finally done.” The character’s name is Aenashk.
In another video, “OK_Fae” presents the result of 5 hours of work in the character editor. “The New Time-Lost Proto-Dragon” is joked in the description because it was taking so long to create.
on reddit users also have great fun sharing their Dracthyr with the community. A thread that was created specifically for this topic has already collected over 200 comments. We show you some screenshots from it.
