from Michael Miskulin
The developers of Gothic Remake have released new images of redesigned monsters from the title. They want to show that the development of the remake is still “in full swing”.

Spanish developer team Alkimika Interactive continues to work on the Gothic 1 remake for publisher THQ Nordic. The developers have given another sign of life and want to make sure that players are aware that development is still “ongoing”. This time the developers have released new images of goblins and bloodflies.

Gothic 1 Remake: Of Bloodflies and Goblins

in one official steam post write the developers of Gothic Remake: “The development of Gothic 1 Remake is in full swing and we would like to share everything at once, but are we leaving anything for dessert?” So fans get a first look at the newly designed blood fly. The new model has a high level of detail and features such as the huge spike, the ten-armed mouth or the red eyes are particularly scary. The developers write: “You should be aware of the bloodfly’s poisonous stinger or you’ll get into trouble! To avoid them, don’t go near places where the ground is damp and the air is humid! The flies gather there, attracted by the sweat of all sorts of creatures. They kill their victims with their stings and feed on their blood.”

in one further contribution the developers showed a group picture of ravenous goblins. The developers explain: “These sneaky little creatures can annoy even the most die-hard adventurers. For inexperienced warriors, they can even spell doom! They can quickly surround you and attack everyone at once, armed with clubs, old rusty swords or anything they can wield get your fingers!” If the real in-game graphics come even close to the images shown, then old fans could actually look forward to a little graphic treat. The Gothic 1 Remake is to be released for PC, Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
