Suitable for Black Friday: Heavy price reduction for Ryzen 7000

[PLUS] Ryzen 9 7950X and Ryzen 7 7700X in the print test

from Maximilian Hohm
In line with Black Friday, the prices for the Ryzen 7000 processors have fallen sharply. In some cases, more than 200 euros can be saved compared to the RRP. The rest of the platform is also slowly getting cheaper, putting a high-end AMD platform within reach for many gamers. Therefore, read below which components currently cost how much and what you can buy.

AMD’s CPU division has been able to catch up very well with Intel in recent years and, with Zen 3, has delivered an absolutely convincing and well-rounded product that clearly surpassed Intel’s tenth and eleventh generations at the time. Intel was able to fight back with Alder Lake, so the hopes were pinned on Zen 4. However, Zen 4 was only partially able to deliver. Although the processors are of course faster than their predecessors, the TDPs and PPTs have also increased significantly and the platform costs are enormous with DDR5 memory and the new mainboards.

Intel was also able to deliver a decent increase in performance with Raptor Lake, so that the Core i9-13900K ends up just ahead of AMD’s fastest chip in both applications and games, despite the inferior manufacturing node. Above all, its RRP was lower and old Z690 mainboards and DDR4 memory could continue to be used. Probably as an answer to this, the prices for AMD’s new chips are now falling significantly.
