We’ve known for a while that God of War Ragnarök was going to be the final game in the Norse saga, but while it has indeed brought to a close the main story arc that began with the 2018 title, there are still questions.

Many have speculated that a resolution to some of those loose threads could come in post-launch DLC, but as it turns out, it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.

recently speaking with kinda funny, when asked about the same, the game director God of War RagnarokEric Williams said that the game is unlikely to get an expansion.

“I don’t know, man, that game is big”, Williams said. “I think we put everything we had into it, so I wouldn’t count on it.”

Santa Monica Studio has never been a developer that releases expansions for its games once they’ve been released, so it’s no surprise that it doesn’t break that pattern with God of War Ragnarok.

God of War Ragnarok is available on PS5 and PS4. You can read our first impressions of the game by following this link.
