Microsoft has been trying to make sure its acquisition of Activision Blizzard goes through by all means, trying to cut deals with Sony to bring Call of Duty to PlayStation platforms.

PlayStation boss Jim Ryan earlier this year called Microsoft’s bids “inadequate” and, according to rumors, personally visited the EU headquarters for the acquisition. However, Microsoft has revealed to the New York Times which offered PlayStation a 10-year contract to keep the popular shooter franchise on its platforms.

This offer is in line with other similar statements Microsoft has made recently, such as stating that it is willing to make a “longer-term commitment” to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation consoles.

Microsoft’s attempted takeover of Activision Blizzard came under deeper scrutiny earlier this month, with the European Commission formally announcing a Phase 2 investigation into the deal.
