Pokémon Crimson and Crimson sell 10 million copies in three days

New record start for the Pokémon franchise: The titles Pokémon Crimson and Crimson released last Friday have already sold more than 10 million copies within three days.

The games defy all the criticism that they rightly bring in for their technical deficits. That doesn’t seem to have had much of an impact.

Asked like never before

A new record start had already been indicated. Earlier this week, GfK confirmed that Pokémon Crimson and Crimson had their most successful physical launch of the year in the UK.

In Great Britain, both games were also the second most successful launches in the franchise – only Sun and Moon are ahead of Crimson and Purple.

At the same time, the games in Japan have also ousted Pokémon Legenden Arceus, which won the title earlier this year, as the fastest-selling Switch game. On top of that, it was more successful at launch than any other Nintendo game before it.
