Pokémon Go: Develop a Cosmovum – what if that doesn’t work?

Pokémon Go: Astral Eclipse - Solgaleo and Lunala finally here! Information in the guide (1)

from Susan Brown
As part of the Pokémon Go special research “A cosmic companion” you will be given a task: develop a Cosmovum. Sounds easy, but it’s not, as the developers of Pokémon Go confirm. There is a bug that makes Cosmovum’s develop button disappear. The solution is simple: a restart of Pokémon Go is required.

Evolve a cosmovum, that is the task of step 9 of the Pokémon Go Special Research A cosmic sidekickwhich ended yesterday, November 23, 2022 with the start of the Events Astral Eclipse become available in the game. However, some trainers have trouble completing this step. If you evolve a Cosmovum during the day, it will become a Solgaleo, but if you start the process at night, then Cosmovum will become Lunala. But what if the Cosmovum development button is just…not there?

Cosmovum development display bug

The developers of Niantic confirm via Twitter via the Niantic support account that there is a display error as part of the special research. More specifically: “Some trainers cannot see the evolve button for Cosmovum even if they have completed the corresponding special research.” A mistake, but it can be easily bypassed, as the Niantic people say, because restarting the app should make the button appear again.

Maybe the problem will be fixed in an upcoming update – and maybe also the recent problems with crashes in any combat that occurred with the last Pokémon Go update. The creators of Pokémon Go had already admitted on November 22, 2022 that there is also a bug and that it might be a little more complicated to solve.
