“Ready or Not” is a tactical first-person shooter in Early Access, in which you have to solve sticky situations with your SWAT unit. The game has 93% positive reviews on Steam and is currently available at a slightly lower price in the Autumn Sale 2022.

What kind of game is Ready or Not? The game is a first-person tactical shooter. Players are thrown into different situations which they have to resolve with their SWAT team. Ready or Not is reminiscent of the old Rainbow Six or SWAT games.

What does Ready or Not gameplay look like? Even if the game is a shooter, you should focus more on tactical action. The goal is primarily the arrest of criminals; blunt force won’t help you.

You have different ways of approaching it: sneaking, yelling at enemies until they drop their weapon, or using non-lethal gadgets.

The game attaches importance to a setting that is as realistic as possible, which is why “the penetration of bullets and ricochets, Kevlar and plate dynamics and also the spread and the force of projectiles” have been implemented in the game (via Steam).

In the game there are 60 different items available for the missions. From various sights, muzzle modifications, magazines to items such as shields or ladders.

There is also a co-op mode that allows you to play games online with your friends.

How do players rate Ready or Not? In the initial phase, things were bumpy for the shooter: In the alpha phase, the game received increasing negative feedback from the players. However, the game seems to have done some things right in Early Access and ultimately became a Steam hit.
