Gran Turismo 7 developers think about PC port

According to Kazunori Yamauchi, the creator of the video game series, it could Gran Turismo 7 soon too create on the PC. After titles like Horizon: Zero Dawn or Uncharted as former Playstation Exclusives been ported to home computers, Sony is opening up more and more to the PC games market. Yamauchi at least explains that developer Polyphony Digital is currently also the Consider releasing their games for the PC platform would, however, have not yet made a final decision in this regard. Is Gran Turismo 7 coming to PC?

Speaking to GTPlanet at the Grand Turismo World Finals, Kazunori Yamauchi hinted that the long-awaited PC port for the racing sim isn’t out of the question for the near future: “Gran Turismo is a very finely tuned title. There aren’t many platforms that We could run the game natively in 4K at 60 frames per second, so we’re making that possible by narrowing down the platform. It’s not a very simple subject, but of course, we’re looking at all of that and considering it.”

The latest entry in the acclaimed racing series, Gran Turismo 7 (buy now €31.48 ), has been available on PS4 and PS5 for eight months. The development team has since worked on fixing bugs and several performance issues such as: B. stuttering, freezing issues and lags during gameplay, in addition to extensive post-launch support to improve the experience for players.

That being said, player frustration with the microtransactions in the racing sim has been a subject of controversy for quite some time. Nevertheless, at least a potential release of the seventh part for PC might give the players reason to be happy.

Sony is driving a new strategy

Over the last few years, Sony has deviated more and more from the exclusive strategy that has defined the console market for years. A few years ago it was completely unthinkable to explore ruins with Nathan Drake. With the Legacy of Thieves Collection, at least part 4 of the Uncharted series is now also available on the PC. Even the new God of War: Ragnarök should sooner or later also appear for PC, because the previous part can already be played there.
