Destiny 2: Cheaters are getting more and more brazen terrorizing PvP – now use crazy hacker setup with 2 PCs

Each weekend, Destiny 2 players can show off their skills in the PvP endgame, Trials of Osiris. But while most players are doing their best, cheaters are increasingly taking away the fun of the game. A YouTuber shows how bold they are and above all how incredibly obvious.

What’s going on in Destiny 2 PvP right now? On the weekends, “The Trials of Osiris” takes place regularly in Destiny 2. The activity is considered the ultimate PvP endgame in the loot shooter and is supposed to captivate thousands of players every weekend.

However, more and more of the most loyal PvP players in Destiny 2 are currently throwing in the towel. The culprit is the continued strong increase in cheaters, who ensure that honest players hardly have a chance to become “flawless” every weekend.

  • They fly around, are invisible or can even shoot through walls.
  • You have unlimited and immediate power and special ammunition.
  • And even an account ban doesn’t stop them from cheating anymore.

Destiny 2 had found many interested players, especially for the new “Witch Queen” DLC, who were exploring the loot shooter for the first time:

The YouTuber Lucky10PP denounces how brazen and persistent the cheaters have become. They don’t even mind anymore that their illegal activities are being recorded. Rather the opposite.

A cheater even targeted Destiny 2 streamers this weekend, such as ZKMushroom or Gjake. The latter shared the incredible actions of the cheater in Destiny 2 on Twitter:

It can hardly be bolder.

And Destiny Bulletin also posted a flying cheater with a rapid-fire sniper who permanently has 69 shots of special ammunition and does not lose these reserves.

Destiny 2 cheat systems take too long: Even though Bungie has several anti-cheat systems, they don’t seem to be working reliably.

Lucky10PP has given 3 possible reasons for this:

  • The cheater is said to be using a very special hacking setup of 2 PCs/servers and hardware ID spoofers, which allows him to manipulate or change his hardware IDs in order to fool Bungie’s anti-cheat systems.
  • He also moves from account to account using what he describes as a “$3 account recovery.”
  • Cheaters also seem to be particularly fond of PvP on the weekends, when Bungie is said to have fewer employees, meaning bans happen less often.

However, it also means that endgame PvP in particular, which only takes place on weekends, is badly affected. In this case, it was understandable that the diabolical cheater was able to do his mischief unhindered for a whole 3 days, i.e. almost the entire PvP weekend.

Players want cheater free trials and have an easy community solution.

An eternal tug of war: For every developer it is a constant and, above all, permanent fight against cheaters. Mainly because they never tire of finding new ways to take the fun out of the game for other players.

Bungie is suing several cheat providers to get to the root of the problem. But it might take more than that, some players find.

This is how the player hits Krantzstone under the video by Lucky10PP so-called “trials cops” as a solution:

If Bungie isn’t staffed over the weekend, maybe they should just appoint some prominent members of the D2 community to be “trials cops.” At the very least, I’m sure Bungie trusts their YouTube/Twitch streamer partners enough to entrust them with keeping tabs on the worst cheaters in Trials, and Bungie can double-check their reports on Monday and take appropriate action.

Because it’s clear that Bungie just can’t keep up with all the cheat messages, but since Trials is a more time-limited weekly event with a smaller player pool (but also the one with the most stakes), it should be doable if they cheaters catch via crowdsourcing.

Tell us about your Trials experiences in the comments. Do you also think the cheaters in the PvP endgame are getting more and more blatant or haven’t you noticed that yet?

By the way, cheat providers are just as bold as their customers, as this case demonstrates:
