WoW Dungeon Guide: Attack of the Nokhud – that’s what awaits you!

The Ruby Life Pool in WoW: Dragonflight

The Nokhud Attack instance in WoW (buy now ): Dragonflight is special; this is probably one of the largest outdoor dungeons in the game. Because you are entering an instanced version of the Dragon Island region Plains of Ohn’ahra. With your dragon riding mount, you can get straight to the bosses in no time at all. But for bosses to become active, you have to defeat a certain amount of trash.

When Granyth reaches 100 Energy, he begins casting ERUPTION. This deadly attack deals a large amount of damage to the entire party every three seconds, increasing in power with each cast. To prevent a wipe, activate the turret on the edge of ERUPTION. This will stun the boss for five seconds using a dragon slayer lance, interrupting the deadly attack.

Attack of the Nokhud

Zone: Plains of Ohn’ahra

Coordinates: 61/39

Access from: level 60

Bosses: Granyth, The Raging Thunderstorm, Teera and Maruuk, Balakar KhanThe lance also drains the boss of five percent of his life points. However, you cannot operate the turret permanently because it has a reload time. So only use the lance for ERUPTION or if the boss only has very little life points left.

Your melee fighters will occasionally have to move away from the boss when Granyth starts casting TECTONIC PUMPS. In mythic mode you also have to defeat adds that are trying to run to the turret and destroy it.

The Angry Thunderstorm

At 100 energy, the boss unleashes damage over 15 seconds on the party, which requires your healer to have a defensive cooldown ready. Tanks also need to use a defensive cooldown because the boss’s attack speed is now increased. While the electric orbs that appear during combat will do some damage to you, they stack up to increase your damage and healing done by 5%.

In between, players are targeted and provided with blue markings. When targeted, carry the debuff outside and try not to hit any players with the circle that forms around your character. Melee fighters or players within 10 meters of the boss are hit by LIGHTNING STRIKES that deal moderate damage. In Mythic mode, the boss also casts these lightning strikes on the buff orbs in places, causing players within a 10m radius to take damage from the orb’s explosion.

Players will again be marked with blue arrows and will have to move away from fellow players as this will create multiple damaging hurricanes around the target character. The attack casts Teera when he reaches 100 energy. As soon as Teera pushes players back with PUSH AWAY, the ensuing GUARDIAN WIND, which keeps pushing back, must be interrupted. Melee fighters are best avoided from Teera, as she often jumps away. But the bosses like to pull nice tanks back together again.

Maruuk also has an energy bar. When it is full, it begins to cast EARTH DISPATCH, causing fissures in the ground to move toward players, dealing massive amounts of damage after 4 seconds at the target location. Healers need to be careful who Maruuk casts HORRIBLE ROAR on. The attack is a fear effect that can be removed (magic). Maruuk’s tank is repeatedly the target of METZEL, causing him to take a lot of damage. In Mythic mode, the hurricanes will return to their original location and the fissures in the earth will continue to deal nearby pulsing damage and slow targets.

Balakar repeatedly throws a spear at players, damaging players in a six meter radius and throwing dirt at a location where he then charges, throwing players into the air along the way. Tanks take advantage of this and kite the boss a little until the bleed debuff REARING BLOW wears off, which not only bleeds you but also takes 500% more damage from his other attack, WILD SLASH.
