WoW: Is this the most grateful player ever? For ONE mount!
For a helping hand in WoW, specifically in Zereth Mortis, this player has amassed more gold than many players have ever seen in their own wallets – but what deserves so much gratitude? And have you ever been so grateful for the help of a fellow player?
Each of us has certainly been grateful in WoW – with awards from the developers for a cool raid fight, for the designers in a particularly chic environment or for the help of other players. But have you ever been as grateful as the user Blind-nz? Because he shared his story on Reddit and amazed the community of Blizzard’s MMORPG. It was just that he wanted a mount!
WoW player accumulates gold for a helpful adventurer
You can find his story on the WoW subredditwhich we summarize for you: Actually, Blind-nz has been playing since the release of WoW (buy now ) and started collecting mounts around the time of Warlords of Draenor, aiming to achieve 400 unlocked mounts. The player spent Legion and BfA unlocking most of the old mounts along with some nasty grinds (he links his SimpleArmory for that).
Yet Iska’s Mawrat Leash in Zereth Mortis was a really frustrating experience. Because of the absurd respawn times and event conditions, you can wait nine hours and still not succeed. Especially when you’re running late like Blind-nz and most of the other players are no longer in Zereth Mortis. The trick would be to form a group – and luckily one player Blind-nz wanted to thank did, but was logged out too quickly. Luckily, a screenshot captured his name. Which gave birth to the plan for a thank you.

Blood-nz created a fresh character on his helper’s server and spent months amassing a million gold through clever use of the auction house (aka flipping prices) – these then went with a thank you message to the WoW player who helped him and presumably had long since forgotten what he had done back then. The fact that some players pay a million gold for a mount is a no-brainer in WoW – but have the mount for a long time and then start a character from scratch in order to subsequently accumulate gold through the auction house that nobody expects? Have you ever been THAT grateful in Azeroth?
