Halo PC: Caseking and AMD show elaborate Ryzen and Radeon casemod
AMD and Caseking have collaborated on a custom PC inspired by Halo: Infinite. We worked on the mod for over half a year, which is estimated to have eaten up thousands of hours. The project is presented in a video.
AMD and Caseking recently unveiled a new project the two companies have been working on since the beginning of the year. AMD had the idea for a custom PC in the design of Halo: Infinite and brought the experts from Caseking on board. The team took inspiration from the game, including the curved monitor meant to symbolize the Ring installations.

The team’s plan was to create a PC that wasn’t immediately obvious as a PC. The case mod and the brainstorming for the project are described in a video. The first thing to be done was the huge monitor on the case. For this, the whole device was disassembled and framed in the design. The other parts of the project were adapted to the size of the monitor.
The team considered building the mod’s body out of steel. However, since this would have been too heavy, MDF wood was used, which was cut to the right dimensions with a laser cutter. An artist from Berlin later gave the structure the typical halo design. All parts were hand-painted for this.
Since the thing is also supposed to be a gaming PC, it was equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X and a Radeon RX 6900 XT on the mainboard Asus ROG Strix X570-I were installed. In addition, the mod has a custom water cooling system, which was also inspired by the alien structures from the game. An illuminated arc visible from the front connects the graphics card and CPU cooler.
