Christmas campaign 2022 - News | GamersGlobal.de

teasers

In the Christmas campaign you can help GamersGlobal to end a difficult year on a light note – and start the next year with peace of mind. There are also a number of “thank yous” for your donations!

It’s Christmas again! The Christmas campaign that started at the very first GamersGlobal Christmas in 2009 (at that time still just a raffle) has long since blossomed into an integral part of this website: Towards the end of the year you can reward us again for the work we have done – and at the same time unlock a lot of content, roughly half exclusively for donors and half for all users.

Anyone who follows our podcasts and other meta-level information will suspect that we can make even better use of the additional sales than in previous years: our advertising revenue was the lowest since 2010. Despite the subscription campaign in October, the premium subscriptions are on a two-year cycle -Deep – the current world situation also has an impact on us. However, we have not yet increased the subscription prices or cut back on content, and we immediately filled the position that became vacant in October. Because although the economic situation is likely to remain very tense in the first half of 2023, we expect a recovery in the second half of the year. We have to get through this now, and with your support we can do it too!

The fundraising goals
In contrast to most previous years, we are not planning any diverse hardware purchases from your donations, but primarily want to secure ourselves economically – see above. One hardware wish is still on the list: Our main gaming computer, which was financed with the surplus from the 2016 (!) Christmas campaign and has since been updated twice with a new graphics card, is reaching its limits. What we are planning is below, you are very welcome to advise us by comment.

This year we have glued the highest maximum amount to date on the tree – although we know that it is not only a difficult time for GG. But we don’t want to sneak through 2023 with our heads bowed, we want to continue to act ambitiously. the E3 2023 as a couple and with the intention of shooting a mini-documentary (feel free to put the “mini” in quotation marks), we’ve never done it like this before. It would be a very powerful exclamation mark in the summer of 2023! Conversely, we still have room for maneuver if the Christmas campaign goes worse than we had hoped, especially with variable costs.

Of last year’s 15 thank yous, three are still outstanding: Koch-Galerie+ and serial love Elder Scrolls will appear in December, Die Redaktion 2022 probably in February 2023 – due to the personnel change in November, filming will continue until January (in addition to many side shots three editorial and home office visits by René Jacob stuck in the finished project). Most jokers were also taken.

The rewards
As always, with your donations you unlock Christmas balls on our virtual Christmas tree and secure medals and bonus GGG for your user account. As always, the balls come with a “thank you” from us (where ball 5 is the game PC):

Medals and top donors, what does “donor choice” mean?

If it says “Donor Exclusive” at the top, only donors are really reading, watching, or listening to the content. there are also nice medals for you (connected with bonus GGG) as well as the top donor group award in three stages (top 50, top 100, top 200). Like last year, the top ten donors will be able to choose from the following jokers, starting with the number 1 donor:

  • A whole day in the GG editorial office (Travel/hotel at your own expense) – we will of course coordinate the timing and “excitement” (e.g. company visit) for the user.
  • Wish game test – The Joker winner gives us a playtest we wouldn’t otherwise do (2022 that was The Planet Crafter, chosen by Kriesing).
  • Wish Redi Rumble – Joker for a Redi Rumble (2022: Sifu, requested by Toreyam)
  • MomoCa participation (2x) – as in 2022 by Sire Jeffrey and Obiwandi.
  • Desired SdK – like the one initiated by Chorazeck for WH40K Darktide
  • WoSchCa participation – see Nienlic’s reckless appearance in 2022
  • Quarter hour determination – the ideal opportunity to specify a premium content.
  • Editorial conference participation (2x) – as in 2022 by Gekko Goodkat.

The Christmas campaign 2022 runs until December 31, 2022, 11:59 p.m (Transfers will be considered until January 4th, 2023). You can take part with the following paid medals, several times per medal. Please note that although you can donate without registering, we can only assign medals to you if you are logged in when you donate.

And as every year, the note: We are not a non-profit organization in the sense of the legislator, but a small, independent, profit-oriented editorial team. If you would like to donate to those in need, you can find this at DZI Hints.

You are not logged in. You can still donate, but you will not receive a medal.
