Dragon Age Dreadwolf: Finally new information in the trailer

The latest offshoot of the “Dragon Age” series has been a long time coming for eight years now, at the Game Awards 2018 we first heard about the fourth part of the series. There are now numerous new information, such as the official title and approximate release window. On the occasion of “Dragon Age Days” 2022, BioWare has now announced new information about various projects from the “Dragon Age” universe in a blog post. The new trailer reveals a lot about the dire wolf

The latest installment in the “Dragon Age” series continues the story of its predecessor “Inquisition”. This time we slip into the role of a real nobody. So the Inquisitor isn’t coming back, at least as a main character. In the game we also meet a well-known opponent: the eponymous “Dread Wolf”, who was initially friendly to us in “Inquisition” as Elf Solas and then betrayed us.

In the new Dragon Age 4 story trailer, we hear the main character or narrator of the game talking about this same Solas. “I knew him as a pensive magician obsessed with dreams,” says the voice. “But long ago he had another name: Fen’Harel, the dire wolf. Ancient elven god of lies or heroic rebel against tyranny. Depending on which story you believe”.

The trailer also reveals that the dire wolf has come to destroy the world. And of course we have to prevent that together with our companions – how could it be otherwise. The initial situation and the plot of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf should therefore be clear. In the past few months there has always been news about the new Dragon Age. In June, the real name of the game was revealed as “Dreadwolf”. In October, the game reached the alpha phase, which means that it is already completely playable and is now being fine-tuned. The release should therefore not be in the too distant future, a release in 2023 is quite conceivable.

It is also interesting that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will probably be the first BioWare game that will no longer be available for the last-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One.
