Concerned Twitch viewer sends Amouranth $70,000 in cash and bodyguard service – streamer thinks it’s a hoax

Amouranth: The biggest streamer explains why Twitch and YouTube didn't offer her an exclusive contract

The biggest streamer on Twitch, Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa, 29, shocked her viewers in October by revealing she was married and controlled by her husband. She now claims to be free, but one fan is apparently worried about the streamer’s safety and gave her a special gift.

Why are fans worried about Amouranth? On October 15, Amouranth, who has built a reputation as a self-determined and ambitious businesswoman, revealed that she is married. However, her husband demands that she pretend to be single.

Amouranth also explained that her husband was a big influence on her content, pressuring her to stream a lot and always be bold. He is said to have even threatened their dogs and their financial security.

However, Amouranth now says she has broken away from her husband and is now in control of how she presents herself and what content she shows – for the first time in the past month she has shown more gaming than “hot tub”.

One of the games Amouranth has been playing since their split is Overwatch 2.

Amouranth receives “Security Care Package”

What gift did Amouranth get now? In one stream, Amouranth opened a package she received from an anonymous viewer, apparently to mark her 29th birthday on December 2nd.

The package included the equivalent of €66,000 in cash, self-defense items including a taser, a new iPhone and a letter.

What did the letter say? In his letter, the anonymous viewer describes what the items in the package are all about. Apparently everything revolves around the safety of the streamer:

I have provided some essential self-defense tools as well as some cash to ensure no financial manipulation can limit your resolve.

From the anonymous viewer’s letter

While Amouranth makes good money from her content on platforms like Twitch, OnlyFans and her own companies, viewers are apparently concerned that someone like the streamer’s husband could take control of her finances. With the cash she would always have a certain freedom of action.

The mobile phone is not a pure luxury gift either, but something that is intended to ensure the security of Amouranth: It is a prepaid device that still has to be activated, so nobody knows the number.

Also included are two telephone numbers that Amouranth can store in the cell phone if required:

  • a personal security number that the anonymous donor also pays for. “In the event of an emergency, if the other contents of the package are insufficient,” the letter reads.
  • the second number is the personal number of the anonymous sender. If Amouranth needs anything, she can always contact him, the letter writer said.

Amouranth is grateful, but cannot only be happy

How did Amouranth react to the gift? The streamer was initially visibly surprised by the generous gifts. After counting the money, Amouranth exclaimed, “Who are you?” She then explained that she initially thought the money was fake.

Apparently, Amouranth initially assumed that the package was a hoax by a YouTube content creator.

What was particularly impressive for Amouranth was that the anonymous donor didn’t seem to expect anything in return for his gift: The letter didn’t say a creepy “Run away with me, please marry me”, as is usually the case, according to the streamer.

After clips from the stream on Twitter were shared, Amouranth commented on the gift in more detail: She was very grateful, but initially did not want to mention anything as long as the money was still in her house. But now it’s on the bank. So it doesn’t seem to have been counterfeit money (via Twitter).

In a comment, Amouranth wrote that while others might be thrilled to receive so much cash, the situation has been a bit nerve-wracking for them. She consulted with her assistants for a long time on how to handle it (via Twitter).

It is still unclear whether it is a sincere gift or whether the situation will soon be clarified in a YouTube video. Some viewers probably already saw parallels to actions like those shown by the YouTuber MrBeast in the past.
