Pokémon GO: Community Day unveiled in December brings lots of Pokémon, bonuses and moves

The December 2022 Community Day at Pokémon GO is now known with all the details. See here which Pokémon appear and what bonuses the whole thing is accompanied by.

What is this event? Normally, Community Days in Pokémon GO run in such a way that a Pokémon is the focus and is accompanied by bonuses. Together, the whole thing is then active for a few hours one weekend day per month. But December is always special. All Pokémon from the last 2 years come together here.

Here we show you an overview of every Pokémon that you can meet on Community Day in December 2022, which special attacks are available for you and when which bonuses are available.

Community Day December 2022: start, bonuses, Pokémon, attacks

What are you meeting when? You can meet the Pokémon of the C-Days of 2022 in the wild and in a Timed Research. You can find the Pokémon from the C-Days of 2021 in eggs, raids and a limited research.

When is the start and end? The December Community runs over two days:

• Saturday, December 17 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time
• Sunday, December 18, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time

There are bonuses that are active beyond this event time.

What bonuses are there?

• Double XP for catching Pokémon
• Double Stardust for catching Pokemon
• Double candies for catching Pokémon
• Half the hatching distance for eggs you place in incubators during the event
• Double chances of XL Candy when catching Pokémon (For Trainers from level 31)
• Lure Modules you ignite during the event will last for 3 hours
• Smoke you ignite during the event lasts for 3 hours (does not count towards Daily Adventure Smoke)
• One additional special exchange per day (Max. 2 per day)*
• Trade costs reduced by 50%*

*Swap bonuses are active on both days from 09:00 to 21:00 local time.

There is also a ticket for Community Day 2022 for €1, which unlocks special research for you.

The event is accompanied by a limited research on both days.

You need to know: Different Pokémon appear on both event days. Shiny chances are increased just like the original C-Days.

Keep in mind that the event Pokémon can also appear between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Wilderness (Saturday) from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Sandan*, Alolan Sandan*, Alolan Smallstone*, Hopspawn*, Seamop*, Velursi*

Wilderness (Sunday) from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Teddiursa*, Galarian Zigzachs*, Staralili*, Pebbleling*, Lichtel*, Kapuno*

Rarely you can also encounter Bulbasaur*, Dratini* and Hydropi* on both days.

• If you evolve the following Pokémon (other than Ursalana) on December 17 or December 18 between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. local time, they will learn these moves:
• Bisaflor learns the Charged Attack Flora Statue
• Sandamer learns the Charged Attack Night Strike
• Alolan Sandamer learns the Dark Claw Fast Attack
• Alolan Geowaz learns the Waltz Fast Attack
• Dragoran learns the Charged Attack Draco Meteor
• Papungha learns the Acrobatics Charged Attack
• Sumpex learns the Aqua Cannon Charged Attack
• Walraisa learns the Powder Snow Fast Attack and the Ice Spear Charged Attack
• Staraptor learns the Fast Attack Gust of Wind
• Scalabra learns the Charged Attack Poltergeist
• Hydreigon learns the Charged Attack Spinner
• Kosturso learns the Charged Attack Drain Slam

Ursaluna learns the Horsepower Charged Attack if you evolve it on a full moon. The full moon is active from 2:00 p.m. Saturday to 6:00 a.m. Sunday. And then again on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
