For many Trainers, just completing the main quests from Pokémon Crimson & Crimson isn’t enough. One of the many post-campaign employment opportunities is hunting and gathering Shinys. These are extremely rare, different colored Pokémon.

The chance of encountering a Shiny is usually 1 in 4096. With a little trickery, players can increase the chance to 1 in 512. But an annoying bug throws a huge spanner in the works when it comes to Shiny hunting.

What is the problem? On Twitter, RyanWasTakenToo shares with us how he encounters a Shiny while exploring a cave. He was only able to spot the special Pokemon because he adjusted the camera angle so he could see behind the wall:

In a group of Pamo he finds a different colored Pamamo. In a clip below the video you can see that this annoying bug has happened to him before. He almost didn’t see the Shiny Frospino because it couldn’t be seen from the normal camera angle.

The good thing is that the Shinys can still be caught even if they are inside the walls. The trainer in the video can trigger a battle, giving you a chance to get the rare Pokémon.
