WoW: Mythic Plus in Season 1 – Dungeons, Loot, Affixes (all info)
Now that our heroes have had two weeks to get used to WoW: Dragonflight, the first season of the new expansion starts on December 14th. Of course, this means above all that the new raid, the Vault of Incarnations opens its doors. Even more importantly for many players, the Mythic Plus dungeons are finally becoming available.
We have to be prepared for some changes compared to the old expansion. We’re getting new affixes, new and old dungeons, and we’ll have to do a lot more for the maximum reward in the future. But of course there are some things that have stayed the same. We continue to receive our seasonal achievements as rewards and enjoy the weekly treasury.
All important information about Mythic Plus Season 1 in WoW (buy now ): We have summarized Dragonflight for you.
The return of old dungeons is nothing new in WoW. But the Dragonflight expansion takes it to a new level. Because only half of the dungeons in Season 1 are really new. The other half is from old expansions. The developers want to keep the feature fresh for longer and retain the option of being able to exchange all dungeons at the same time in Season 2.
The following dungeons are active in Dragonflight Season 1:
- Academy of Algeth’ar (Dragonflight – Awakening Coast)
- The Azure Vault (Dragonflight – Azure Mountains)
- The Attack of the Nokhud (Dragonflight – Plains of Ohn’ahra)
- ruby life pool (Dragonflight – Awakening Coast)
- The Court of Stars (Legion – Suramar)
- The Halls of Valor (Legion – Stormheim)
- Shadowmoon Burial Ground (Warlords of Draenor – Shadowmoon Valley)
- Temple of the Jade Serpent (Mists of Pandaria – Jade Forest)
While you can easily fly to the dungeons on the Dragon Isles, in the capital Valdrakken you will find portals in the old expansions to get to the dungeons there as well.
A lot has happened here too. Not only is there a new season affix, but some old affixes also flew out of the rotation.
- The new season affix goes by the name thundering
In our guide, we explain in detail how the affix works and what you need to watch out for.
In addition, the developers have decided to temporarily send two of the previous affixes to the bank. They’re still in the game, but they’re not part of the rotation for Dragonflight Season 1.
And the rotation of the affixes is already known:
Week | From level 2 | From level 4 | From level 7 | From level 10 |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 (from 14.12) | Reinforced | Furious | trembling | thundering |
2 (from 21.12) | Tyrannical | bursting | Dreadful | thundering |
3 (from 28.12) | Reinforced | Bloody | Volcanic | thundering |
4 (from 04.01) | Tyrannical | Furious | Stormy | thundering |
5 (from 11.01) | Reinforced | mischievous | Dreadful | thundering |
6 (from 18.01) | Tyrannical | Bloody | Explosive | thundering |
7 (from 01/25) | Reinforced | goading | Stormy | thundering |
8 (from 01.02) | Tyrannical | mischievous | trembling | thundering |
9 (from 08.02) | Reinforced | bursting | Explosive | thundering |
10 (from 02/15) | Tyrannical | goading | Volcanic | thundering |
As soon as this rotation has run through once, it starts again from the beginning (if Season 2 has not yet started).
Loot & item level in Season 1
The most important thing in the dungeons is of course the loot at the end. In WoW: Dragonflight, the maximum loot level has been increased. Instead of +15, +20 is now due. Thanks to the new scaling, these are also considerably heavier than in the past.
The following list gives you an overview of the loot that awaits you at the end of the dungeon and in the Great Treasury. By the way, in the treasury in Dragonflight you need 1/4/8 dungeons to fill the three compartments.
level of the dungeon | reward at the end | Reward in the treasury |
---|---|---|
Level 2 | 376 | 382 |
level 3 | 376 | 385 |
Level 4 | 379 | 385 |
stage 5 | 379 | 389 |
stage 6 | 382 | 389 |
stage 7 | 385 | 392 |
level 8 | 385 | 395 |
stage 9 | 389 | 395 |
level 10 | 392 | 398 |
level 11 | 392 | 402 |
level 12 | 392 | 405 |
level 13 | 392 | 408 |
level 14 | 395 | 408 |
level 15 | 398 | 411 |
level 16 | 398 | 415 |
level 17 | 402 | 415 |
level 18 | 402 | 418 |
level 19 | 405 | 418 |
level 20 | 405 | 421 |
Of course you can also use your loot from the dungeons in WoW: Dragonflight bravery points upgrade. Some levels are possible without restrictions, but for the higher ones you need the corresponding Mythic Plus rating:
The following costs are incurred to upgrade an item by six item levels:

- Item level 402 (Tier 9): Rating 1,000

Achievements and Season Rewards
Of course there is also a lot to capture apart from the equipment. Including some achievements and of course the obligatory Mythic Plus mount. This time there are two: a new mount and a template for your riding dragon. And of course there are also the popular dungeon teleports that you can unlock.
If you complete a level 20 or higher dungeon within the time limit, you will receive a matching achievement and a portal to its entrance.
