Century: Age Of Ashes launches a new PvE event. Heed the call of the dragons in The Last Bastion.

Independent game developer Playwing is proud to announce that after a successful launch it will be available on PC and home consoles Free-to-play dragon shooter Century: Age Of Ashes both new and existing players into the first-ever PvE event titled “The Last Bastion“ will introduce. Heed the call of the dragons and set the battlefield ablaze on December 15th!

The main content of this free event is the PvE game mode “Breakout” in which the players have to band together to defend their base against the onslaught of terrible enemies that come from their own nightmares: the residents.

These enemies are relentless and will push players’ skills and team coordination to the limit with each new wave. With every attack they successfully endure, the Dragoneers must prepare themselves thanks to a brand new upgrade system – it offers boosts and upgrades to their abilities and the base they are defending.

This new mechanic is one of the refreshing “roguelike” elements introduced for the first time in Century: Age Of Ashes. Additionally, the AI-controlled swarm of dwellers varies in strength, attack types, speed and more, requiring the Dragoneers to use their wits if they are to survive this battle.

Die-hard followers of the rich Dark Fantasy story will have encountered these denizens and the imminent threat they pose to the Sanctum of Valkuerian. The Outbreak PvE game mode marks the culmination of Season 1: Shadows over Skeld’s battle against the armies of the Parasite Queen – a battle that players will be reminded of whenever they take a look at the gargantuan monster that Waves of denizens unleashed on the Hel’s Breach map.

Finally, from December 15, 2022 to January 18, 2023, players can participate in the limited-time event, The Last Bastion. By completing mission sets in PvE game mode, players will get their own customizations and as an additional reward 4 unique dragons (one for each rider class) for the high achievers out there. To also satisfy the players looking for competitive play, the event will also offer rewards based on PvP leaderboards.

Century: Age Of Ashes will also feature a long-awaited update to the ranked PvP queuing system, a new in-game UI appealing to Dark Fantasy fans, and quality of life improvements giving Dragon Riders a lot more to do. The shop will also be stocked with limited-time items like the legendary Winterborn Ensemble and the comeback of the Holiday Dragons.
