If we want to know how old Kratos is, we can use various clues.
How old is Kratos in God of War Ragnarok? If we were to show a picture of the giant to an inexperienced person and ask the question, the answer might well be “maybe 50 to 60?” would be. But of course we know that Atreus’ papa is a god who doesn’t age like normal people. That’s why the estimates of fans move in completely different spheres.

Well I’ve thought about this for a long time, but how old is Kratos exactly, especially considering he was born in Ancient Greece? How old would you say he is?

Various pieces of evidence give the discussants clues as to the age of the god of war. While some users use historical events, others point to developer statements or in-game dialogue.
Dantexr and FriendsCallMeBatman recall a line from Ragnarök that states Kratos lived for several centuries. Dantexr thinks that it should be at least 200 years old, possibly older, but we don’t have any reliable information for that. Other users see it differently.
Historical events: RenegadeRising points out in the commentary that according to dialogue, Kratos was present in both the Trojan War and the Battle of Thermopylae. These two events alone, which took place before his “Nordic period”, are probably several hundred years apart according to current research results.
Other users, on the other hand, agree that Kratos in God of War 3 is around 50 and continue to calculate from there. Some fans claim Cory Barlog said there was around 1000 years between God of War 3 and the 2018 game. This brings us to completely different numbers.

In a particularly detailed comment, user StanktheGreat makes a calculation with which the fan wants to be able to determine Kratos’ exact age up to four years. We can’t say with certainty whether all of these considerations are correct – and whether the development team has even determined how old their hero is exactly.
