How good is Subnautica?
In our opinion, Subnautica is probably the best single-player survival game out there, in our test we rated it with a proud 87 points. This is mainly due to its great game world, which is full of secrets and the surprisingly complex and exciting story, which only gradually opens up as you explore the area.

In Subnautica, our spaceship crashes over an alien planet and our little escape pod lands in the middle of a vast ocean. In order to survive, we must first search for food and other resources under water and on the seabed. We not only use the latter to improve and repair our equipment, but also to set up our own underwater base with all sorts of useful equipment. Of course, we always have to keep an eye on the supply of breathing air.
As soon as our own survival seems more or less assured, we go in search of the other crew members’ escape pods, which are also floating in the ocean. We also come across small islands that house mysterious alien artifacts. We prefer not to reveal too much about them at this point.
