Our SSD expert Manuel Christa was allowed to test the Samsung 990 Pro shortly before its release in October last year. The SSD performed very well in the PCGH test with a final score of 1.4. The M.2 SSD, which is not only suitable for the PC, but also for the PS5, was convincing in the overall package and showed a sensible further development in terms of equipment and performance compared to its predecessor and the competition. However, according to the test result, a normal user doesn’t feel the differences and could just as easily use a year-old model with PCI Express 3.0.
