The pre-registration for an upcoming MMORPG is currently running on Steam, which offers a huge open world in addition to PvP and trading. It is titled Uncharted Waters Origins.

What is Uncharted Waters Origins for a game? It is an MMORPG by the Japanese development studio KOEI Tecmo, in which you travel the different seas of the world as a pirate and explore places that are based on real models.

Also, Uncharted Waters Origins (PC/ Mobile) is the latest installment in the Uncharted Waters game series. The last installment in the series was released in 2004.

Huge open world with trading and PvP

What sets the gameplay apart? Uncharted Water Origins is based on a huge open world in which you cross the oceans with your pirate ship and explore up to 60 different cities and sights. They are based on real models such as Portugal’s capital Lisbon or the Pyramids of Gizeh (via YouTube).

Overall, Uncharted Water Origins will offer 8 national powers, 200 ports, over 300 battlefields and more than 20 weather types in addition to the 60 cities. You should also meet various historical figures in the MMORPG.

In addition to the massive open world and numerous explorable locations, Uncharted Water Origins will feature PvP and trading. You can build up a fortune with the strategic sale of various goods or afford sea battles with other pirates.

Demo and pre-registration on Steam

What do we know about the release? Uncharted Water Origins is slated for release in 2023 as a Free2Play title for PC via Steam and appear on mobile devices with Android and iOS. According to KOEI Tecmo, the title should also have crossplay.

If you would like to try Uncharted Water Origins before the official release, you can download and play a demo of the title as part of the “Steam Next Fest” from February 6th to 13th, 2023. In addition, a pre-registration for the full version of the MMORPG runs from January 30th to February 20th, 2023.
