The Pokémon Go Community Day in March 2023 is something special because there is not just one Pokémon, but two: Flegmon and Galar Flegmon! The Community Day takes place on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. (local time) to 5:00 p.m. (local time) instead of. During this period, Flegmon and Galarian Flegmon appear more frequently in the wild. Also, for the first time ever, shiny Galar Flegmon are appearing! So save some Poké Balls and Pinap Berries to grab these rare pocket monsters and evolve them!

Evolve Flegmon or Galarian Flegmon during Community Day between 2:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. local time so that your Slowmoose, Galarian Slowmoose, Lachoking or Galarian Lachoking learns the Surfer Charged Attack. Surfer by the Numbers: The Charged Attack does 65 damage in Trainer Battles. Surfer also does 65 damage in Arena and Raid battles.

A tricky development

Typically, you need to catch 30 Poison-type Pokémon while Galarian Flegmon is your sidekick to evolve the Pokémon into Galarian Slowbro. However, on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time, you must catch 30 Psychic-type Pokémon that have Galar Flegmon as your sidekick in order to evolve the Pokémon! Keep an eye on the time, because after 10:00 p.m. this change will be reset and you will have to catch 30 Poison-type Pokémon as usual.

For 1 euro you can purchase the Community Day exclusive special research on Flegmon and Galar Flegmon in the in-game shop. You can buy the special research “Field Notes: Fantastically Phlegmatic” not only for yourself, but also for friends. Use the “Gift” button instead of the “Buy” button. You can then select the friend from your friends list to whom you want to gift the ticket for the special research. March 2023 Community Day event bonuses

Bonus: Tier 4 Raid Battles after Community Day

If you don’t have time in the afternoon to play during the three-hour event, you have another five hours after the event to catch Flegmon and Galarian Flegmon. What you have to do for it sounds simple at first, but don’t underestimate tier 4 raids.

If you have successfully completed a Tier 4 raid, Flegmon and Galarian Flegmon will appear around the arena for thirty minutes. Keep in mind that you can only participate in these raids with Raid Passes or Premium Battle Passes. Remote Raid Passes cannot be redeemed.

Flegmon and Galarian Flegmon in raids can, with a bit of luck, show up in their Shiny variant. Flegmon and Galarian Flegmon spawning in the arena area after a raid have the same Shiny probability as Flegmon and Galarian Flegmon spawned during the three-hour Community Day period.

Temporary Research Community Day

On Community Day March 2023, a Timed Research related to Flegmon and Galarian Flegmon will be available. If you complete the tasks, you can receive up to four King Stones. Once the steps and rewards for the Timed Research are known, we’ll update our guide.
