Assassin’s Creed Rift: Leak to the Aztec setting just a fake?
Just yesterday we reported on a supposed leak to the next Assassin’s Creed. As a result, the next adventure in the series is said to be in the Aztec empire to play. Although there was no further details and sources were also not named. However, the originator of the rumor had already appeared several times before with correct forecasts. In the meantime, however, it looks more like the Info just a fake was.
Well-known insider contradicts the Aztec setting
The leaker and industry insider Jason Schreier reported recently on Reddit.com and commented on the Aztec rumor about the next Assassin’s Creed. According to his information sthe information provided by the previous leaker is not correct, he and his sources have heard nothing of a setting at the time of the Aztecs. Instead he gave its current information on the future of the series, which look significantly different.
“The next AC game is Rift, it’s set in Baghdad. Next up is AC Infinity. And while that’s going to have multiple different games/experiences/biomes/whatever, I know the two main settings and neither of them is Aztec.”
Which leaker is right?
Jason Schreier’s statement may shed some light on the matter, and he was often correct in his predictions. However, his source’s information doesn’t necessarily rule out the possibility that Assassin’s Creed Infinity might not an Aztec scenario could give. After all, he spoke quite explicitly only of two elementsthat he knows – but not from everyone. In addition, it is quite conceivable that currently under the banner of Ubisoft another Assassin’s Creed is in development.
