Leaks often appear in Destiny 2, causing a stir in the community. Now, however, a clip has allegedly been published personally by Bungie, where clues for the new poison class can be found. We’ll show you if the leak is credible.

What is this leak? It is said to be a video of a Bungie employee. In this video, the new Season 17 Finisher, Scythe Sweep, was demonstrated on a Fallen Outlaw. While doing so, Guardians have discovered some interesting things in this clip, check it out:

The interesting thing here is the super and skill bar. The color of the ult always indicates the element. With the Solar ability, it’s orange like fire, with Arc, it’s blue like electricity or lightning. But here the color green is like poison or something poisonous.

The skills also seem to be thrown together. The Titan wields a Solar Grenade, Firebolt, and a triple charge of the Stasis melee, Tremor Blast.

The close combat, which can be seen in the video

So the video raises more questions than answers, but how credible is it? Is this really a leak to a new poison class, or is it all just a well-crafted fake?

Enjoy the toxic leak with caution

How credible is the leak? As the video circulated, it was removed from the Bungie Artstation account. It therefore seemed as if the developer did not want other eyes to spot this hint. But despite the leak does not seem credible.

Bungie is unlikely to mix the new Darkness class with different abilities of well-known ults and their symbols.

The green color can only be a coincidence, which was chosen as a placeholder. Basically, the whole super bar looks thrown together to look like something new. We at MeinMMO have developed an example image for you:

What Bungie can do, we can too!

The only thing that catches the eye is the super symbol. It looks like two blades with an arc surrounding them. It doesn’t look like poison or egregore spores – more in the direction of pressure waves or resonance.

It is also questionable why Bungie should have chosen these abilities in combination with the unknown ultimate symbol. The development team could also have chosen one of the four known elements without risking such a leak. However, to find out more, the community will have to wait until Lightfall is released.

Here’s what Bungie once said about new Guardian abilities: Even before the start of “The Witch Queen” the keepers dreamed of such a new, fifth class. But then Bungie curbed that enthusiasm right away. So Joe Blackburn, the current game director, explained that although a new skill class is indeed in the making, it will not be released with Witch Queen and therefore not in year 5.

Not a new element, but a system: We at MeinMMO took a closer look at the video and believe that this is at most a new system from Bungie. Your keeper is the master of all known elements. You can switch through your ults at any time, but you are forced to carry them out in full. A mix of solar and emptiness, for example, is currently not possible.

What if Bungie worked on a system where you could find a way to build your own Ultimate. A mix of all learned elements adapted to your beloved play style. This is only a theory based on what is shown, but it would not be entirely consistent.

What do you think of the leak? Do you think this is the new poison class? Do you think these are just placeholders to show off the finisher? Or tell her it’s a fake – that’s not what a new class in Destiny 2 would look like. Let’s hear your theories in the comments!
