Terraria: Core Keeper Crossover Update details

Activision Blizzard: Phil Spencer pleased with acquisition progress

Terraria & Core Keeper cooperate in new crossover update. Here is the first information for you.

Royal blob King Slime has escaped the world of Terraria and plans to conquer Core Keeper’s underground lairs in a new free crossover content update. The update will be available for download next Monday, September 26th.

King Slime appears as a new boss in the game that can be summoned by placing a specific royal accessory on Glurch’s summoning circle. Fighting King Slime might be challenging, but it could definitely be worth it – rumor has it that players who defeat King Slime will receive exciting new loot that will be the envy of their fellow combatants.

And that’s not all for Core Keeper and Terraria fans. With the upcoming Terraria update 1.4.4, a new caveman pet – the friendly caveman farmer – can be summoned to follow the Terraria characters on their adventures. Once the update goes live, Terraria players will be able to summon the Cave Builder into their game with a special item they’re familiar with from Core Keeper.

“While we’re not sure of his intentions, we’re incredibly excited to welcome King Slime to the world of Core Keeper today,” said Vincent Coates, Product Manager at Fireshine Games. “Terraria is such a huge inspiration for Core Keeper, we were really excited to share this news with fans. We hope fans will love seeing these iconic characters appear in the worlds of both games.”

“Re-Logic loves supporting other indie developers making cool games. We’ve enjoyed playing Core Keeper since launch, and given the similarities between the two titles, the opportunity to work together on some crossover content was a great thing,” said Ted Murphy, Head of Business Strategy & Marketing at Re-Logic . “We hope fans of both games will enjoy the new content, and we look forward to the continued success of Terraria and Core Keeper as they continue to delight players around the world.”

Core Keeper is a mining sandbox adventure for 1-8 players set in an ancient cave full of creatures, treasure and trinkets. It was released to Steam Early Access earlier this year and has already sold over 1 million copies. In the game, relics and resources must be mined to build your own base, craft new gear, and survive. There are also huge monsters to fight, secrets to unravel, crops to harvest, new recipes to cook and a procedurally generated underground world to be explored to unravel the mystery of the ancient core.

The next major content update for Core Keeper, The Desert of Beginnings, will introduce a brand new desert biome and the new Molten Quarry sub-biome in November. There is also a multitude of new enemies, weapons, pieces of equipment, a new boss, a new vehicle type and a number of surprises.
