Valkyrie Elysium showcases combat, skill trees, and bosses in extensive gameplay

Valkyrie Elysium of Square Enix is almost around the corner, and Famitsu magazine has analyzed it and reveals interesting things. However, it also released extensive new gameplay that showcases combat later in the game.

Along with other Einherjar, the Valkyrie uses different weapons and abilities, including one that throws the spear in a spinning motion. Some exploration is also shown, though it involves summoning a specific Einherjar to dispel an obstacle, along with a brief look at the Skill Trees.

The boss fights seem decent, although Hilde, who is apparently opposed by Valkyrie and Odin, seems like an easy thing to take down. Of course, we’ll probably get a chance to see Hilde’s perspective when the new mode with her arrives after her release. The same update also brings new difficulty options, including Very Hard and Time Attack Trials for different rewards.

Valkyrie Elysium launches on September 29 for PS4 and PS5, with the PC version available on November 11. A free demo is currently available on consoles.
