Beware of false mailings
Before Christmas there are more attempts to defraud customers of DHL and other parcel delivery services. The phishing scam is sent by email and unfortunately often works.

The current pre-Christmas period is something special again this year perfidious fraud attempts. Apparently, attackers are trying to use phishing emails to imitate DHL and other shipping service providers, as a report by the Consumer Center emerges.
These emails are currently landing in the mailboxes of many DHL customers and informing them about you alleged attempted delivery of a package. This usually asks for personal data and/or payment of a certain amount of money in order to send the package again.
A link or button is often included that is supposed to lead to shipment tracking or to the company’s website. However, unsuspecting people will open up instead compromised websites forwarded to cheat them out of their data and money.
This scam is particularly dangerous now, as many orders are placed before Christmas and many people are waiting for packages. If you are inattentive for a moment and do not pay attention to whether there is one tracking number was given and this corresponds to a real purchase, you quickly fall into the trap of scammers.
In order to avoid this, it is important, as always, to check the sender of the e-mail carefully, pay attention to any discrepancies or spelling mistakes and, above all, not to click on attached linksif you are not absolutely sure about their authenticity.
You should also be aware that DHL no extra costs for a new delivery attempt required. If a package doesn’t end up at the front door, there is a note in the mailbox instead and you can pick up the package at a packing station.
