Actor Lance Reddick known as Zavala in Destiny has passed away

Lance Reddick, the actor known in the world of video games for his roles in Destiny 2, Horizon Forbidden West and Quantum Break, has died at the age of 60.

According to TMZthe actor who rose to fame with roles in HBO’s The Wire and John Wick franchise, was found dead at his Studio City home on Friday morning around 9:30 a.m. local time.

“The cause of his death is currently unclear, but our law enforcement sources say it appears to be natural,” according to TMZ. Reddick was due to appear on The Kelly Clarkson to promote her role in John Wick 4.

Reddick was best known in the gaming world for his role as Commander Zavala in the Destiny franchise. The actor played a central role in Destiny 2 since its release and appeared in several of its expansions, including the most recent, Lightfall.

Reddick is also known for his role as Sylens in the Horizon game series, where he provided the character’s voice and facial capture.

In addition to John Wick 4, Reddick was set to play Zeus in the upcoming Disney+ series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
