HandOfBlood's LoL team fails in the group stage of the European Cup - Shows morale in the end

In their very first season, Eintracht Spandau, the team from YouTuber HandOfBlood, managed to stir up the German “League of Legends” scene and even qualified for the European Masters. But after just four games in the group stage, the elimination was certain. However, in the last two matches they flared up a real firework display.

What is Eintracht Spandau all about?

Eintracht Spandau surprisingly beats the best team in the group

How did the group stage go? The debut at international level went well. Right in the first match, the HandOfBlood team beat Crvena zvezda Esports, a Serbian team.

Afterwards, however, there was the first defeat against the favorites in the group: Vitality.Bee, the French development team from Vitality, who had recently made headlines in the LEC with a super team. Particularly annoying here: The German team dominated the first 30 minutes, but then lost a fight for the Baron and thus the game.

Match number three should then point the way. It was against the Polish team AGO Rogue, the youth team of Rogue. Here, too, Spandau was ahead until the 12th minute, but from then on Rogue dictated the game. It came to the second defeat.

Match number four was the decider. It was again against AGO Rogue. The start of the game was very quiet, the first 8 minutes there were no kills at all. Then Eintracht Spandau played very aggressively and lost a team fight where they even attacked the botlane under their tower.

Nevertheless, the match was balanced over long stretches, at 20 minutes the difference in gold was just 1,500, even in favor of the German team. However, another fight at the Baron turned Rogue around. In the end, Rogue won the match and thanks to Vitality.Bee’s fourth victory, it was clear: Eintracht Spandau was out.

How was the team after the elimination? Really strong. In the penultimate match against Vitality.Bee, the winner of the group, there was an open exchange of blows and that always slightly in favor of Eintracht Spandau. At minute 24 there was a team fight for the Baron, which Spandau didn’t throw away this time, but won. Three kills, a baron buff and several towers were the reward.

Eintracht Spandau managed to inflict Vitality.Bee’s only defeat in the group stage.

They also subsequently beat Serbian team Crvena zvezda Esports again, who finished the group stage with 0 wins and 6 losses. In the end, they failed because they couldn’t win a match against AGO Rogue.
