2 reasons why the Weekend League in FIFA 22 is now really worthwhile for you again

In FIFA 22 Weekend League is finally worth it again and FUT players should urgently get back in. Find out everything you need to know about the FUT Champions changes here.

That was the problem with the Weekend League: Typically, Weekend League rewards come with various packs and coins earned by performing well in the playoffs and finals. Whoever wins more often rises in rank and receives better rewards.

These rewards also include the red player picks, from which you usually get a selection of players from the current TOTW. The problem here was that the TOTW could hardly keep up with the many special cards in FIFA 22. As a result, Weekend League rewards felt weaker than they should at times.

But now the TOTS in FUT 22 has finally started. And with that, the Weekend League rewards improve noticeably. There are now heavy rewards, especially in the finals.

The rewards can be really heavy

Here is how the TOTS changes the rewards: Instead of TOTW players, the upcoming Weekend League rewards will contain the current Team of the Season cards in the rewards. So if you achieve a high enough rank in the Champions Finals, you can look forward to player picks with TOTS cards, some of which have extremely high ratings.

Since the TOTS teams change weekly, there will also be different rewards every week. The distribution of player picks by rank is as follows:

  • Right from rank X there are already TOTS cards that replace the TOTW cards. There are player picks with cards from both current “Teams of the Season”, which currently includes cards from the Eredivise TOTS and Community TOTS.
  • From rank VI there are player picks that only contain TOTS cards of the stronger team.
  • For the higher ranks there are more player picks where there are more TOTS cards to choose from.
  • Rank 1 offers 3 player picks with 5 TOTS cards each.

You have more time and therefore less stress

Normally, the FUT Champions Finals ran from Friday 09:00 to Monday 09:00, giving players 3 days to complete their 20 Finals matches. EA has now changed that and significantly extended the Weekend League.

The new start time is Fridays at 9:00 p.m. and the new end moves to Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m., giving you a full 2 more days to play all the games. That’s a big advantage, because now you can approach the games in a much more relaxed manner and take a longer break after a defeat.

What do you think of the changes in the Weekend League? Will you be playing FUT Champions Finals again now? Feel free to tell us in the comments!
