Mario Kart 8 Deluxe fans can now pimp their profile picture with Switch Online
If desired, Mario and Co. can now dash to the user icons in Nintendo Switch Online.
The fun racer Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is one of the absolute perennial favorites for the Nintendo console and was expanded with the first batch of DLC tracks in mid-March. So it was only a matter of time before Nintendo took its modern classic into account in the online service Switch Online – and does so in May with a whole series of user icons in the Mario Kart 8 design.
They should appear in several waves and during the month of May. This week we’re starting with a Mushroom Cup symbol and a Mario Kart icon, among other things, which you can then tinker with in your user pictures in the corresponding menu. The range of icons should then change every week. The view shows Toad in racing overalls and Bowser, among others.

Do the icons cost anything? Yes, 5 or 10 Platinum points each. You can find out how you can buy and create the user symbols in detail on the official Nintendo support site.
Mario Kart 8 just doesn’t run out of gas
Hard to believe: Mario Kart 8 for the Wii is already celebrating its eighth birthday this year. The deluxe version for Nintendo’s current console was able to top that again by packing all the previously available DLCs into the package and also making other small but fine innovations.

A real triumph followed, the title is one of the best-selling switch games ever and will be considered with several other DLC tracks until the end of 2023.
